Project Schedule Management - Rolling Wave Planning

Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:10 pm

Hi Team,

"rolling wave planning may create the need for updates to the project management plan, specifically the schedule, scope, and/ or cost baselines. These changes require integrated change control, beginning with a change request."
Can you please elaborate a little on this? When do we go for Integrated change control in case of Rolling wave planning?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sivapriya.

I am assuming that you are familiar with RWP ,
Whenever the future work is decomposed and planned into more details, there will obviously be changes to baseline and subsidiary plan, however if there is a change in any of the Baseline parameter,i.e if the baseline cost is changing for e.g. then it is for sure a case of doing integrated change control.

we need to remember that need for integrated change control process will be clearly defined in the project management plan
