No direct relationship between tasks.

Mon May 03, 2021 6:47 pm

A new product development project has the following characteristics:

-There are three main tasks.
-Task A must be delivered 4 weeks before task C starts.
-Once task B is finished; task C will start.

What is the relationship between tasks A and B?

A. Finish-to-start (FS)

B. Finish-to-finish (FF)

C. Start-to-start (SS)

D. Start-to-finish (SF)

Given answer is B and mine is A. Since there is no direct relationship between task A and task B , how can we define relationship? All we know is that both should be completed before C starts. There is no numerical time for B completion given that will help us to define out of task A and task B which will start/finish when .
