Question 23
You need sensor technology for your project. During planning, you have identified that these sensors can be imported from China or can also be manufactured in house. To manufacture in house, you would need to invite samples from China. Also, the experienced and skilled resources in your organization are currently busy in other projects, would be available in a few months and there are some fresher’s available in the resource pool who could be utilized but will need to undergo some training. You want to finalize a schedule for this project. Which of the following would be the best way to design a schedule for this project considering all the scenarios mentioned above?
a Use a simulation technique to model the various scenarios to calculate possible schedule outcome.
b Draw a network diagram, and then use lead and lag to refine the schedule.
c Refer to the past project documentation to see how you had scheduled and what were the lessons learned.
d Draw a network diagram for various scenarios, assess the feasibility of the schedule under different conditions, and see how the schedule aligns with the project objectives.
Right Answer is A
I answered it as c considering the indications i see from the questions:
1) can also be manufactured in house,
2) there are some fresher’s available in the resource pool who could be utilized but will need to undergo some training. You want to finalize a schedule for this project
Also considering that referring to the OPA would be the 1st step before i do the simulation.

Question 27
You are a project manager to transport 200 boxes of perishable frozen foods through Airplane’s frozen cargo compartment. You have observed that your shipment is outside the frozen trucks and the frozen airplane compartments for more than recommended time. Which of the following options would you first implement to ensure that such a scenario does not happen again and also that you upload your lessons learned on the OPA, once you have devised a corrective action?
Discuss this shipment requirement with a specialist
Do a root cause analysis
Do a cost-benefit analysis
Do alternative analysis
The answer is "Do alternative analysis"
I had selected the answer as "Do a root cause analysis" considering that it is mentioned in the question as "such a scenario does not happen again and also that you upload your lessons learned on the OPA, once you have devised a corrective action"
