Two out of five stakeholders are not in agreement on the elements of the project charter, what do you do next?

A. Escalate the issue to sponsor
B. Go ahead to seek approval from the sponsor
C. Facilitate the meeting to agree on the decision-making process
D. Facilitate the meeting to reach consensus

Let's explore all the options
Option A: Sponsor is one of the key stakeholders in the project, and the project manager can reach to him for support as and when needed. Escalating too many issues to the Sponsor shows ineffective project management skills.

Option B: This could be an option if questions give hit of that decision can be made based on the majority.
Option C: This is the right thing to do, before making the decisions we need to have an agreement on the decision-making process.

Option D: If the decision making process mandates consensus this is the right thing to do, the question is not giving any hint on it.
