Dear Seema
How do you know which life cycle is at for a particular product or customer ,does it mean after the customer tells his requirement we slot the project in a particular life cycle and do we as BA inform the customer that we are going to use particular life cycle or is it used only for internal use.
Thanks
Amit

Re: More Details of the Life Cycle of the product
A project starts after defining its vision. Also you have a high level idea of requirements. You and team along with customer and other relevant stakeholders understand - If requirements are clear? Can you predict the full flow of work. Can you predict the final product? - IF yes, you can agree with Predictive Life Cycle.
If work is abstract. where you progress a little and again there is a need to check if you are moving in a right direction -
- there is a need of Agile and you agree for Agile.
You cannot select a life cycle for internal use, If there is a need of Agile, then you need to involve customer and other stakeholders frequently. You need to set the expectations for the same.
In Summary, based on nature of project you get an agreement for the suitable ProJet life cycle, and based on the selected life cycle you involve customers and other stakeholders time to time.
