While going through the questions in the mock-up tests, I arrived on following queries -

1. What is the work of Function Managers? It confuses me. Can we say they are equal to Delivery heads in IT Projects.
2. Can a PM frequently ask for help to the Sponsor, can we equate it to delivery head again?

Functional Managers can be seen as Senior Internal stakeholders for the project, say you are doing IT project and you have Head of Quality, who is Quality Function Manager, may not directly be liked with project role but has some impact on project work. If you have a matrix organization some of your team members may have some percentage reporting to that person.

Sponsor, you can see like a person who approves your budget, who solves project-related critical problem, may interact with you to know how the project is going, so you can see like Delivery Head or PMO head kind of person.
