Project Scope Management- 1

Wed May 18, 2022 7:43 pm

Jennifer is leading a project; she has assigned two business analysts to explore product requirements. Jennifer and assigned Business Analysts understand that getting views of stakeholders about what they want is essential. They want to involve stakeholders to prioritize the requirements and to improve the product requirements iteratively. Using stakeholder’s iterative feedback, they are planning to produce a workable version of the product. To gather such requirements what should they do?

Involve stakeholders iteratively using tools like brainstorming, nominal group techniques, and workshops, and get the approved prioritized requirements for the workable product development

Understand stakeholder’s requirements using a tool like a workshop and build a prototype

Understand the product requirements from stakeholders using group decision-making techniques to prioritize and implement requirements iteratively.

Hold a meeting for questionnaires and surveys to get the feedback in each iteration

Solution
The question is about the "Collect Requirements" process. PMBOK 5.2
All choices are correct and can be used to gather product requirements.
However, the catch here is the word "workable version of the product."
You can use any suitable group-decision making tool to get the prioritized requirements; the main point is that you iteratively involve stakeholders to get feedback on a workable version of the product.

I answered 1st option . Unable to understand why option C is correct. 1st option includes group technique too along with catch word which is workable product unlike option C
