This is how scrum guide defines scrum
Definition of Scrum
Scrum (n): A framework within which people can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.

As per definition of Scrum... it says for "framework" but as Pankaj mentioned it as "methodology".

Please clarify.

Thanks,

I agree with Saket. Scrum is Framework and methodology like XP. I am not sure what I was thinking while replying to poll :D

Well a good questions pops from this is to understand the difference between methodology and framework.
Methodology: A methodology is a set of principles, tools and practices which can be used to guide processes to achieve a particular goal, which suits XP.
Framework: A framework is a loose but incomplete structure which leaves room for other practices and tools to be included but provides much of the process required. Scrum does that.
