Product Scope Decomposition

Product Scope Decomposition - Need Clarification on below queries

If WBS is output of Product Scope decomposition then is Work Package output of WBS Decomposition?

Or rather what is Work Product and its relation with WBS and Product Scope?

WBS: A hierarchical decomposition of the total scope of work to be carried out by the project team to accomplish the project objectives and create the required deliverable.

Work Package:
The work defined at the lowest level of the work breakdown structure for which cost and duration can be estimated and managed.

A product scope is represented in hierarchical structure then it becomes the WBS. It shows all the deliverable.

for the relationship between deliverable and work product please refer: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5087

The way i see this is, it is just dividing the big work into small . See if you want to eat the big watermelon you can not eat it without dividing into bite size peaces . That is what we do.

Work Package is the final decomposed peace which you pick and eat :-)
