This question is about Except

The Problem is one stakeholder is asking more and more reports which is unexpected.

1. Communication Management plan : tells who gets what in what format
2. Stakeholder Register : Not needed since we are dealing with one person's request. and he was identified.
3. OPA : If i as project manager agree to share this, i need to follow template which is given in OPA, OPA is not only about lesson learned it is also about templates
4. WPR : if i share, i will share this or something from this....

So looking at option Stakeholder Register plays the least possible role , let me know if we need to discuss this further...

Saket in question its mention "unexpected requests frm stakeholders".
So it looks like multiple stakeholder and not one stakeholder

Or for the moment we consider it as single SH thn also
shdnt we chk his power n interest in register before responding to him.

Yes we will use Stakeholder Register... and that is why B is not the answer , since question is about Except

But correct answer is B.So it means stakeholder register will not be used.

I think stakeholder register shd be used.

I missed seeing my own explanation and question, what should be the answer then in your view... you can also look at official explanation of same in book.

Let me know which one looks the answer to you and why? we can discuss about it... since i have already given my view in thread

Saket,
My thinking is OPA will not be used.Since the SH is asking unexpected requiests, template we are already decided and using for giving information to SHs ( for their expected requests). Here the issue is "unexpected requests".For such requests separate template is not used.
Whether my thinking is in right direction?
Can the answer be C.

Thank you Yogesh for re-starting thiking process.. :)

:) Actually if i have made this question i could have told what i was trying to test.... in some cases we end up looking question as Input / Output Question only. and always keep in mind OPA are input to all process. you can expect 6 to 7 such Input / Output questions in exam.

Lets talk about this question.... First Identify In which process are we , questions says executing and knowledge area stakeholder management. So we are in Manage Stakeholder Engagement.
Manage Stakeholder Engagement —The process of communicating and working with stakeholders to meet their needs/expectations, address issues as they occur, and foster appropriate stakeholder engagement in project activities throughout the project life cycle.
Lets look at Input / output of this process to identify the answer.

So pick an answer from B and D.

I agree, all issues should be concluded and closed.
Regarding this query, when we follow PMBOK guidelines- simply ITTO technique, answer seems to be D or B.
But practice says, we should refer work performance reports to convince SHs that their requests are unexpected. But then in executing stage we will not get WPRs but Stakeholder Register is available so by default also answer will be D.
Is the reasoning OK, Saket.
Thanks

Great.... this make sense , i think we should select D in such cases.... since ITTO question should be looked in that frame only.

D also looks correct.
I think they didn't pick D becuase Execution and M&C contrl runs in circle ..So WPR may also be available for PM to check ,right ?

Re: STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

This could be the source of the problem since PMBOK 5 only created stakeholder management out of communication management.
Manage Communications is the process of creating, collecting, distributing, storing, retrieving, and the ultimate
disposition of project information in accordance to the communications management

Since the goal of Manage Communication is above , so we can not take it for this question....

The reply was, i do not find right mapping this question to manage communication. since manage communication has different goal.
